As expected, they aren't quite a 1/4" in length and they need an Allen drive larger than 3mm or an 1/8th but smaller than the next available size if you really want to put any torque on them. On that note, torque is limited to snug or risk shattering them (I was also anticipating this but really needed these quick). Ultimately, I'll use them until I have a reason to order from McMaster-Carr and purchase a reliable/quality product.

I bought this to replace an original set screw and I was very pleased to know it is working just like the original.

Good set screws. Very few bits of machine scrap in the bag of 100..like may 1 or 2 pieces of debris (this can sometimes jam in allen hole)
