The pens are so easy to use. I did the whiskers on my seal with them. They are in a range of sizes and have a lovely intensity to the black. I’d probably buy the refillable one which would work out more economical in the future.

I bought them at random when I was trying to get into sketching and watercolor. They write very smoothly, don't bleed when painted over with watercolor, and leave a very unique texture that is just what I was looking for. Will absolutely buy again if and when they eventually run dry.

Great Kuretake brush pen (large brush)! The ink flows so consistently, reliably, easily. It works for me better than pentel brush pens due to the evenness of the flow and the lines. And this pen works perfectly on cold press rough watercolor paper, unlike other brush pens.One slight negative difference vs pentel’s: on 140 lbs cotton watercolor paper, the ink is just ever-slightly carries over when I do watercolor wash or detailing on the sketch. The lines do not become smudged, but the slightest tint of grey appears around. This results in almost like colored graphite pencils effect. I will use this pen for dry sketching and have actually just ordered a set with all the brush sizes.
