Buying a good hat online was worrisome to me. I imagined it coming in a bag, in a box, banged up or somehow damaged.This hat arrived properly supported, crown and brim. It is true to size and well made (after all, it is a Stetson). It's a great summer hat and can go casual with a hawiian shirt, or dressed up in some casual relaxed slacks and shirt.Can't beat it for the price!

I measured per instructions and was on the upper end of the small size range. Ordered small and it fits perfectly. Looks good and is as cool a sun protecting hat as I am likely to find, as it lets in any breeze.Not cheap, but worth it.

Arrived on time and in great condition. The hat was nicely secured in its own box with ample cushioning to preserve shape. I have a pretty big noggin, but I followed their sizing chart and went with an XL instead of the double, and I’m glad I did. Fits perfectly, and I wear a good 7&5/8 ball cap - which is normally an XXL in all other hat brands (and could be tight at that!). Appropriately light weight and the woven straw on the crown allow for you to feel the breeze when wearing it. Good size brim to keep sun off your face. Only thing I would like to have improved is the cinch (bead) on the leather string - it doesn’t stay cinched and secured under your chin. Will likely replace myself.

'Large' was perfect for my size 7.5 noggin. This replaces the same model I accidentally left behind at Kindness Ranch, in Wyoming, after last year's eclipse... I loved that hat! I had customized the hatband with a small turquoise bead and reshaped the brim from the standard 'Cowboy/Aussie' to a slightly asymmetrical Fedora - one side of brim curving slightly up, the other side brim slightly down, and an off-center dip in the front. I've done the same with this new one.This hat offers ample ventilation, a reinforced peak, and a hatband with an interesting pattern, but slightly oversized for my taste. The stampede strings are also a bit chunky, so I may replace them with a thinner leather string. Some may object that the string grommets are not snug to the brim, but having them spaced farther out gives you more versatility when it comes to eyewear.As others have noted, this arrived moderately dented due to the use of normal Amazon packaging -- standard cardboard box w/ no top or bottom padding for brim or crown, just a few bubble pods to keep it from shifting sideways. However, unless the straw is actually torn, a little bit of careful steaming and reshaping is all it needs. (If you're new to shaping hats, read up on the techniques first.)My grandpa always wore a well-ventilated Cattleman-style straw hat when working on his Colorado ranch in the summer heat, but this semi-Fedora style is a better match for my trail hiking and 'round town lifestyle. Functional + Value + Quality + Class.
