These work great on mold and bacteriaThey do produce a smell that will last for days.Keep your pets away while using ..Don’t turn them on without UV safety glasses they are strong and will damage your eyes.

For the record, I am reviewing: BAIMNOCM 2 Pack UV Light Bulb with Ozone 25 Watt UVC Bulb 185nm/254nm E26 2 CountI purchased a 15 watt UVC bulb back at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic. My husband works at the VA and he sees a lot of sick patients. Some of them would lie and say that they did not have a fever or cough just so that they could get their appointment completed as they were having to wait for a long time, at that time, for an appointment. We instituted an isolation and decontamination policy for home that included him going directly to the garage after work, undressing and putting his clothes into the washer. He then put all his other items, like keys, wallet, badges, and such into a box and we set that just under the 15 watt light bulb that we would turn on for 15 minutes to decontaminate everything. Then he would go and take a shower and put on fresh clothes. It worked. neither of us has ever had covid, our vigilance worked.He got sick with this flu that is going around and it turned into pneumonia and sepsis. We isolated him in one bedroom and put the 25 watt UVC light bulb in the bathroom. After he uses the bathroom we turn the bulb on and shut the door. After 30 minutes the room is sterilized. When you open the door the smell of ozone is present. That means it is CLEAN. Ozone is a good thing. But you have to air out the room before entering. So far, three weeks now I have been safe and not gotten sick, and I usually get anything that he gets and brings home. I credit the UVC light and our isolation procedures. For anyone that is concerned with the number and type of bugs going around, I would HIGHLY recommend these bulbs. They are powerful enough to clean a 10x12 room within 30 minutes or less. Just do not look at the light when it is on.

The light bulb started smoking as soon as it was switched on. You are not meant to be in the room at the same time that this bulb is on. Luckily I was. When I walked up to take a look at the smoke a flame came out and the bulb then failed.DANERGOUS. DEFECTIVE. DO NOT BUY.

Most reviews seem to be complaints about well-established effects of UV sanitization.Do they stink? Yes. UV-C will product stink, this is a byproduct of sanitization.How much do they stink? It depends how much sanitization was done: stink=VOC's. The EPA and FDA claim the VOCs produced by UV-C light are harmless, and scientifically there is no reason they would be since they are essentially airborne "dead cells."I was verifiably able to determine these lights emit almost no ozone using my Klein gas detector. VOCs unsurprisingly go off the chart (mine were 700ppm before UV-C, then 2000ppm, and finally settled down to 500ppm) until the area has been sanitized AND filtered. That second part is important: if you want to actually clean your air instead of just sanitize it, you need to collect the dead particulate matter floating around. This is why common applications for UV-C are inside HVAC air handlers BEFORE and AFTER the filter, but if only using a single UV-C, I recommend placing it before the filter if possible. This is generally not possible if your filter access is at the return intake and not inside the HVAC unitduct. Eventually the airborne particulate will be filtered but...you will smell it. Alternatively you can run a room HEPA filter to collect it.So far I have two bulbs running pre and post filter, inside the return vent before the filter, and one after the heat exchanger. I'm curious how long the bulb life will be exposed to 180F heat as these E26 base bulbs are clearly not designed to be fixed inside duct work, but using a NEMA15>E26 adapter and making a mount out of sheet metal, I riveted a bulb mount to my ducts, drilled a 7/8" hole for the filament of the bulb to insert into the duct, and appropriately leak-sealed with high-temp foil duct tape.Very economical solution compared to Honeywell and other brands that charge $100-$150 for equivilent bulbs, all of which seem to be ozone-emitting. While ozone sanitizes more, controlling the "medical office" smell they produce is extremely challenging in a residential setting as it collects inside fabrics.

Estos focos funcionan mucho mejor que la luz uvc led, duran más, son más potentes y es evidente su funcionamiento. Los focos led uvc no sirven de nada, estos focos son una compra muy buena.

Mi recién nacido tenía la nariz tapada por la noche, usamos esto para desinfectar la habitación y ha estado respirando bien desde la primera vez que lo usé.Todavía no sé cuál era el problema, la habitación está limpia, pero parece que hubo algo que provocó que se le tapara la nariz.Desde entonces, limpié toda la casa con las bombillas y ahora las uso una vez al mes en todas las habitaciones.

I purchased to try out in basement area that has that stagnant, musty, mildew odor most basements have and to my amazement after a few hrs here and there the odor has dissipated and seems to be kept in check thanks to this light. Have used it to sanitize every other room of the house since then. I make sure to vent the air in each of those areas after each use. The light has a slight odor after its been on. The bulb I got is a no ozone one but still don't want to breath that in. I can tell it effects my throat even if only for a min of after exposure. Had no idea that a UV light would help so much with indoor air quality but It does.. WARNING: It's very dangerous to pets and humans so I set it up in one of those clamp lamps on and extension cord, cleared everyone out and left the area being "treated".. then plugged it in somewhere else for a while. Never look at the light while it's on or it WILL burn your eyes. It's specs say it's 30x the sun's UV rays and that is no joke so use with caution.I am happy with my purchase so far and hope it lasts for many hrs of use. Would recommend to others.
