If you're just getting into MMA this is a solid head gear choice. It's affordable and provides decent protection. I'm not saying it's professional but for a newbie its just right and the adjustable sizing means it would also be good for multiple people to share if needed.

My nephew is in boxing and requested this head gear and he loved it and very protected as he boxing .

The size is probably too small if you have a large head.The quality seems fairly good for the price.The fit is very good, dare I say exceptional. The back locking velcro keeps the head guard on snug. You can just tell it will not move and block your vision when your opponent slips one through.The only negative is the chin strap. It is rather flimsy and small. Now way to put this on with gloves on. I will take away one star for that. Very happy with it otherwise.

My sons love to box each other, for fun and for a bit of a workout. My older son is obviously much stronger and gets a little carried away so we got the headgear for my youngest son. He loves it! It protects his face and fits him perfectly. There are two areas of the guard that adjust with velcro so it will fit a variety of different sized heads from youth all the way to adult. It is high quality and has the perfect amount of foam protection! I highly recommend this guard!

At first I have to say that many people misunderstand headgear for sparring. They think it should fully protect you from the force of a punch, which it will never really do, and it isn't supposed to do.Headgear for sparring is more for helping you protect against cuts, and to be honest, in many cases this budget alternative will do a good enough job for that...for the most part.It fits fairly well, and is adjustable for many head sizes. I feel like it is snug, but not suffocating.The material is soft, and you can see in the quality that it is not high quality gear. But it is good enough.The material on the inside is comfortable, but I doubt that it will withstand hard use for a long time and repeated sweat or long sparring sessions. But it is good enough.The outside material seems somewhat cheap, and the stitching is mediocre, but good enough.In summary, this headgear is all about the price. If you get it for a good deal, it will be good enough to protect you from cuts during sparring, for the most part. You will likely not be able to use this for as long as more expensive headgear, but that's alright...if the price is decent.If you are looking for something you can use for a long time, an increased amount of protection, and nice materials, this one is not for you. It will be worth it investing in some good headgear from one of the major players like Hayabusa, Everlast, Venum, etc.If you are looking for a budget alternative that will do a good enough job for a beginner or intermediate martial artist or a kid, this headgear will be good enough.
