Easy to use, durable, very definite graduation markings. The plastic bottom and gage ring help protect it against fractures. Use it for cc’ing heads (relative measurements), so I can’t speak for the accuracy, nor do I care. I’m only interested in repeatability.

The cylinder is thick and well made, the markings are clear, and the dropper is very handy. I would give it 5 stars, except that the markings are off by almost 5 ml. My calibration process was to take 10 measurements of distilled water at 50-ml increments. The cylinder was on a level surface, my eyes were level with the readings, and I measured at the bottom of the meniscus. Each measurement was then weighed on a jewelry scale (accurate to within 0.08 g). With a temperature of 16'C, water has 1.00102 ml/gram, so I converted weight to volume. I plotted these 10 points of measured volume and weight converted to volume, and found that a good fit could be obtained by subtracting 4.38 ml from each volume reading. In other words, what appears to be 500 ml is actually about 495 ml. Even so, I'm very happy with this graduated cylinder; I simply adjust my measurements to be more accurate.

Very sturdy, the lines and numbers are very clear. The wide base keeps it balanced and the extra plastic marker helps avoid measuring mistakes. The other accessories are a plus.

This is exactly what I needed and I am happy with the quality. I dispense tinctures with it, I bought this one first to see the quality because investing in pieces that are a disappointment isn't in my budget. I am so happy I bought this and am going to invest in other sizes, worth every penny!!!! I will buy it again!
