I have a DJC suspension seatpost I wanted to use on a different bike, and because of the difference in seatpost diameter this shim (also from DJC) is perfect. As shown in the photo, it simply slips inside the bike's post hole, so when you insert the seatpost there's a snug, secure fit. Once installed, there's no movement. Tolerance seems perfect: not too loose or too tight.I don't know why bike manufacturers can't standardize on one or two sizes for seatpost diameters, but I'm grateful that DJC makes these shims to support a variety of bikes. Recommended.

In short, this does exactly what it's supposed to do. I used it to put a 27.2 carbon post in a frame made for a 31.6 post. Voila, right? Sure...BUT...there is one issue the user needs to do prior to even sliding this onto a seatpost. The slot is NOT finished well so it has a slight burr to it. As you can see in my pictures, I simply slid it onto the post when I took it out of it's bag and you can see it scratched the "you know what" out of the surface. It is a purely cosmetic scratch, but still, I was not amused. I suspect the burr on the outside would not have been nice to the inside of a carbon seat tube if it wasn't addressed prior to assembly. A few passes with a flat file on the outside and a half-round on the inside completely solved the problem, but it shouldn't have been a problem IMO. This is the only reason I dropped a star, otherwise works as intended.
