The booties are cute but mainly purchased for the hat as there are not a lot of options for smaller knit hats for newborns. The material is on the thinner side which does not make this a good winter hat. The color is true to the picture. The material itself is soft but the quality is not the best. It fits true to size, just a tad big on my 8 week old but as expected as she is still a newborn and needs to grow into it

This set is adorable! I bought it to embroider for my newborn for pictures after she is born this winter. The colors are neutral, but the flecks of color in the yarn make it very flattering for a wide range of color pallets.

The hat and even the booties are way too big for a standard newborn or even a chunky one. The set is probably more suited for 3-6 months. It'll be great for winter if they stay on at all lol. The fabric coloring is cute with the beige having the mixed funfetti type specks in it. It's a great gender neutral set. I don't think it's super soft or anything but it is thick and will be warm. You can use the ties/bows on the front of the booties to tighten them. It might help them from falling off. They look relatively homemade.
