Lightweight, durable so far only had for 3 months. Most of my keen shoes only last 8 months before lace loop hols start to break and the area where it is ventilated on the shoe starts to rip.

My husband really dislikes bulky uncomfortable steel tip work boots, but these Keen Safety shoes are built like sneakers and a nice option for wearing protective footwear. They fit true to size and they are comfortable and quite lightweight. He is able to wear these all day without feeling like he has a pair of cement boots on. The shoe is roomy enough inside to remove the included inner sole and he uses his podiatrist prescribed orthotics, which he often has trouble fitting into other shoes. The shoes are made of breathable fabric so your feet don't get sweaty and clammy. It also helps to keep your feet dry from outside sources of moisture or other liquids. The composite tip does not dig into his feet as other boots have and feels as comfortable as any other shoe or sneaker. The soles are not spongy like other sneakers often are and have a well-gripping non slip pattern on the bottom. The sole bottom is stiff where it needs to be under the mid arch and heel. The back of the shoe by the ankle is reinforced and supportive. The shoe laces are strong and stay tied and the tongue is easy to grip to put on the shoes and it stays in place.Overall, these are a great and comfortable protective shoe option.

I have Keen sandals that look as good now as they did years ago. So, when I saw these shoes offered I didn't hesitate to get them for my son.He has a foot that is a bit on the wide side so I wasn't confident that these would fit. They do. He wears them to work where he has to stand a lot. They do not start pinching in the toe box after several hours.Still, if I had been offered the wide width I probably would have ordered it.They are great looking smooth black shoes that could be worn almost anywhere. They don't look like work shoes. Stiffer than your standard sneaker so I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for running or hiking, but for some people that might be a possibility.
