It is a great light. Unfortunately, since few new sewing machines have a magnetic surface, the only way to use the light is to tape it to the machine, which is disappointing, especially since the light must be removed when I put the cover on the machine for transport.

This is a good red laser beam with a strong magnet for mounting on your sewing machine. Unlike most that require batteries, this is plugged into an outlet which can be challenging because the cord is somewhat short. And if you have a sewing room like mine, there are already a lot of tools plugged in already. But, it is better than changing batteries. The arm is easy to adjust and aligning the beam is quite easy and precise. I gave this 4 stars because the beam is too wide for sewing application. The thick beam is not appropriate when 1/16th of inch can throw things off. If it were a bit thinner, this would easily be a 5 star, sadly had to return.

I cannot use it because my machine is not metal. Attachment is with a magnet. Realized this too late to return.

I purchased this laser for a Bernina sewing machine. The laser works, however not sure how to use it for a seam guide.It would be helpful if seller included instructions or a link on how to use it.

received item. Great packaging. No instructions. Not informed I would need a battery. Not informed what size battery I need Would not recommend. Will not order from them again. If I could rate them less than one I would
