Compost bin is easy to assemble. It is light weight. Plastic seems thin but looks like it will withstand some time. When assembling you must make sure to click the pieces into place.

When the bin is full it splits at the seams under the weight. The lid has difficulty remaining snapped shut. Easy and efficient for a low-traffic starter bin.

I received it yesterday and today I put it together. I was very impressed with the quality of the pieces as I was pulling them out of the box. Every piece was wrapped in plastic or bubble wrap. I also had extra screws and nuts after putting it together. I put it together with the included screw driver except for the two bolts that hold the barrel to the frame. There I used a power tool and a wrench because the nuts have nylon locking in the nut threads and it was too hard to turn by hand. Holding the nuts on the inside in some places was a bit of a task since I have big fingers, but doable. The center divide piece is meant to be loose. I also believe it's meant too have gaps so bacteria can easily cross over to the over side. The metal is obviously cheap and I wouldn't expect it to last more than 5 years. It is well coated with an enamel like paint. I am seriously thinking about spraying the screws and other rustable areas with some paint to prevent rusting. For the price, it is not reasonable to expect stainless steel parts. It took about an hour by myself to put it together. It would have been a bit easier if I had someone to help hold some pieces in the beginning but it isn't necessary. All in all I easily recommend this compost unit.

Easy for one person to put this together, though I recommend using a rubber mallet to get the lid on. Some reviews said there were screws, and that the description says it rotates. Those apply only to the smaller models. The 80 gallon one has no screws and does not rotate. The pieces just snap together, but it appears to be sturdy. One minor issue is that the door at the bottom looks like it should be able to slide up and down, but it does not. You have to remove the door to open it at the bottom, and then re-install the door when you are finished. I just put it together, but this looks like an excellent device. I also like the claw glove that it came with for mixing the compost.

Purchased this bin because of the great reviews. With that being said I have not had the same experience with it that others have had. It was super easy to assemble, however, it does not stay together very well and the lid does not latch.
