I don't think some people understand different types of rolling pins, but I do and I love this one. It is a perfect size and weight and has already assisted me in making dozens of baked goods in my kitchen. It feels like a high quality rolling pin and is straight with no warping so it rolls smoothly. It functions very well in its role as a pasta and pastry rolling pin, and cleans very easily, especially after it has been oiled and floured.

I got the 35 inch size extra long rolling pin and it is effective and easy to control. I would personally say the 19 + 31 inch set is probably the best value especially if you are baking a lot. The wood is very stiff and sturdy and it is a thinner size so it is easier to control and really get nice consistently thin sheets in a large size without too much effort. The ends are rounded as well so both sides have a slight taper at the tip.Personally, an issue I had with the 35 inch pin is that I have an older countertop which has somewhat of a curved lip so the size was too large to lay perfectly flat. I have to either use a flat surface on top of my counter or just use a table to make things easier. I think I would have been fine with the 31 inch and that would have been long enough. I overestimated how long this would be but that is my fault.I think the quality of this item is nice and it doesn't stick much when you use it. The wood doesn't bend or flex at all really and it seems like it would last a long time. For washing, it is pretty easy to clean by just running it under the faucet and drying or using a damp cloth. It doesn't really get too messy after use.

I started baking when I was 8 years old using my Easy-Bake oven it didn't take long for me to graduate to a full size oven. Over the next several years I expanded my cooking and baking repertoire to include breads, and various other types of desserts. The one thing I never could get a grasp of was the pie crust, I just could not get it rolled out and placed into the dish without it falling apart wish technically isn't a real big deal as it's generally hidden by the filling. Another issue I had was getting it to an even thickness but I did the best I could.I saw that there were spacers that can assist with the thickness of the dough and I thought that looked promising but I ended up with another snag. All I had was a standard rolling pin which doesn't work very well with the thickness spacers at least not for me., so I used a plain wooden dowel and it was okay but just not right. And then I saw this.I purchased the 19in rolling pin which is small in diameter, lightweight, kiln dried wood with the finish being non-stick.Definitely a game changer over standard rolling pins. By design it is easy to maneuver the pin over the dough and to get it done faster and a lot more evenly as it does not have to be over lapped . Extremely easy to use and clean.I should have had one years ago but better late than never I guess.

I really enjoy working with this extra long rolling pin. When you need to roll your dough very thin, it affords much more control than with a traditional short, heavy pin. The fine craftsmanship and smooth, light beech wood makes this tool a pleasure to use and easy to clean. I experienced much less sticking, and less fatigue than when manipulating a typical rolling pin. Highly recommended.
