It is a strong cart and worth it.

This thing is AWESOME. I'm a mobile technician and I drive my personal vehicle for work - a modest sized SUV. This folds flat in literally 3 seconds and fits in the back (with the back seats folded down). Random onlookers have asked about it more than once when they see how fast it folds down.I've been using this daily for almost 2 years and not a single issue, other than occasionally needing lube for a squeaky wheel. It carries 100+ pounds of tools and it rolls over everything with ease. There is some lateral play in the cart top which is inevitable due to the design, but I've never been worried about it failing or folding accidentally. While I do transport stuff on the cart top, I wouldn't put anything crazy heavy on it just out of caution, though it does hold my body weight no problem.I havent used the "platform cart" configuration except when first messing around with it. I did notice that it tends to "unlock" itself at the corner where the base and cart top meet. This happens when I push the cart handle forward. Maybe mine just has a weak locking mechanism. This didn't bother me as I never need to use it that way.The only downside is that it's a little awkward to steer until you learn to use it, since the swivel casters are on the back. The handle also doesn't stick out very far past the base, so you end up leaning forward ever so slightly, and sometimes your feet hit the base.It is quite heavy overall and definitely a professional grade product. I love using it at work, and it's also great for holding tools when I'm working on my own car.

Lots of area and very sturdy. Installation is easy just requiring you to screw the wheels into the base.

Fold down handle snaps in place. Easy to carry and store.

I bought this model primarily because it does not have a lower bar across the handle which limits the length of the item transported. Other carts I've had did have a bar and they proved useless for longer items. Yesterday I successfully moved a heavy 42" plasma TV (with help lifting it on and off the cart) and I was impressed by how accurately the cart moved with the weight. Unlike other similar carts I've had over the years, this cart moved and turned exactly where I directed it through several condo corridors, two parking garages, and hallways into a bedroom. The surface (carpet, wood, and concrete) made no difference at all. It went where I directed and turns were very accurate. The handle stayed perfectly locked into place. Other nice aspects of the cart are that the handle locks into place securely when folded down for storage and there are side indents that form handles that allow it to be carried easily in one hand when not in use. I did not find it difficult to put the wheels on. I simply used a mallet to insert the white plugs first and then used the mallet to push the wheels into the plugs. That took less than 2 minutes. As someone mentioned, the surface of the cart is a bit slick so I did take the precaution of using a bungee cord to secure the television. Primarily, I am most pleased by how easy it is to direct the cart exactly where I wanted it to go. I've had carts that wouldn't go straight or made turns difficult or even tipped. This cart meets my needs perfectly and will get a lot of use.
