Salt pigs are expensive. This one is decently priced, does the job, I’m happy.

This product is exactly as advertised. I love both the modern design and the fact that the Salt Cellar is fully glazed, inside and out. Would definitely buy again or recommend to a friend.

Es una copia de otros saleros de buenas marcas, como emile henry a esta se le ven defectos y la boquilla se ve chueca no redonda y se ve rara. No me gustóYa tengo una Emile Henry y es hermosa la pieza, no hay comparación, lo barato sale caro.

I wanted a similar salt pig but the cost was a bit too high. I took a chance and got this one and am happy I did. It's large enough to easily reach in for a pinch of salt. And I do not mind the open container. I haven't had any issues with smells or anything else getting in the opening. The color pop looks great on my countertop. Solid product at a great price.

When you are cooking the only thing to have your salt in is a salt pig, i.e. a container where you keep the salt of your choice open to your salt scoop (I have a 5cc wooden scoop) and the container is at least somewhat sheltered by the shape of the "pig." I keep it on a shelf at the back of the stove. The last thing you need is a container with a lid, a container too narrow to stick your hand in, or a container at any distance from what you are cooking. Recenrly the special "pig" made by a potter friend about 30 years ago perished in spite of our love for it, and we finally decided to buy this one here as a replacement. I think it's elegant and it fulfills my other criteria - and you may have noticed that it's a very reasonable price, at least compared with its competitors. I pondered the important choice of a "pig" for a long time, and came to the conclusion that this is the Best Buy for the discerning, frugal cook.
