I have known of this specialized piece of equipment all my adult life. In my entire cafe career I have never seen a wine steward or this marvelous device. I obviously frequent the wrong joints.It is well designed and ruggedly constructed, a professional piece. I would buy it again.

I've used all sorts of wine bottle openers in the past and I normally don't like these types of bottle openers. I prefer the more sturdy wing-style cork pullers, which are larger and heavier.I purchased this bottle opener because I wanted something sleek and easy to carry when we travel. When I received the unit, I was impressed in the quality of the construction. I ended up testing this opener on a few different types of wine bottles with different types of corks and I have to say, I am impressed at how well this one works. The dual hinges work exceptionally well and it removes even stubborn corks with ease.The secret is to make sure the first hinge gets a good bite on the side of the bottle and the edge seats well against the lip of the bottle. Once you get the cork moving a little bit, switch to the second level hinge and use the additional leverage to easily pull out the cork.Verdict: Highly Recommended

The foil cutter blade is absolutely useless. The rest of the wine key is flimsy at best. Spend a couple extra bucks and buy a better wine opener.

My favorite style of wine opener, makes the job so easy. It’s such a nice efficient tool, this is the second one I’ve purchased - I didn’t care about color and just picked the lowest priced, great value!
