I go this 3 liter hydration bladder to replace an older bladder in one of our many hydration backpacks (four in the family currently). It reminds me of the one that came with my Camelback hydration only pack, way back when. The top clip is a slide off clip that goes onto a top fold of the bladder. This allows filling with just about any ice source. This can be a big deal. I've hiked Yosemite falls with two small children (one on my back) and seen the difference starting the day with a VERY icy mixture makes. We got to the top and had cold water to spare for the people that were out of gas and in trouble. The big opening allows you to use a Smart Water sized bottle (completely frozen) as your base. The single, large, ice cube kind of self insulates and lasts longer than smaller cubes. The hose has the click-in style connector, as opposed to a slip over kind that you have to push and pull on with force. The angled, covered mouthpiece is pretty good too.The bladder falls into what I'll call a mid range product. It's better than the cheapies at Walmart (which are sometimes all that you can get on short notice) and lacks some of the sophistication as something like an Osprey design with magnetic retention and support loops that align to the packs built in retainers.Other than wanting an insulating sleeve for the tube (which should have come with your backpack) I can't think of anything that the bladder is lacking. So, if you gunked up your bladder by not cleaning it and find yourself grossed out, this is a good replacement for the current $25ish price.

I have replaced all of my older bladders with new style ones and this one is one of my favorites unless you want to spend twice the price and buy an Osprey.

This bladder has worked very well so far. It has not leaked at all, and is easy to fill and to clean. As advertised, no plastic smell or taste in my water. Durability remains to be seen, but so far so good!

I needed a larger bladder for my summer hikes as it gets really hot here in central Texas. This hydration bag is a nice size and quality. The clip is secure and snug with no leaking (even when laying flat). You can easily prop it open so it will dry out. The mouthpiece is well made and easy to use. I’m super happy with this hydration bladder.
