Diese Dinger kann ich nur Empfehlen...ohne währe es wegen Blitzeis heute früh nicht möglich gewesen vor die Haustüre zu gehen.Bin damit 2 Stunden mit unserem Hund unterwegs gewesen.Die "Schneeketten" hab ich an den Gummistiefeln getragen... schnell dran und schnell ab... und beim Gehen sicher in Position...so wie es sein sollFazit: TOP !!

Bought a smaller set for spouse last yr. She luved them. Before YakTrax, she felt very safe walking on icy sidewalks with dog. Tried her pair on my bigger boots one day & really felt safe. The smaller size stretched to fit size 10, but I figured the Larger size would be worthy investment. For the price, they are excellent. No brain or arm or wrist injuries this winter for certain.Update: right side wiring for the large loop let go today (2 months of waling every day on icy sidewalks) - galvanized wire rusted out even though I rinsed and dried the pair after every time I wore them).Big plus - Super easy to put on & take off (mere seconds, like 5 or 10 seconds per boot).Secind complaint is the claim of stainless steel. The inside of the rivets and wiring are galvanized steel (not stainless) and both started showing signs of rust shortly after first qeek of use. They will rust. Mine roje after (2 monthx) 75-80 km of dog walking.

At first they were a little difficult to fit, but once on they were just perfect.We walked in Tromso, Norway in minus 9 degrees in a foot of snow and ice without slipping or falling over. In Alta, Norway we walked at least 8 miles in minus 16 degrees and again in a foot of snow without problems. In fact it was safer walking in Norway than back Home in Essex where the paths are uneven and thousands of potholes in the roads.

like most of the country we have been in a deep freeze for about a week. light snow fell for two days, and since that time the thermometer has only made it to 32 for a few hours. walking in the snow was fine until a couple days ago when we had freezing rain and then freezing fog…when taking the garbage out proved a harrowing experience, I felt it was a good time to pull out the yaktrax. even though the windchill is 2 the dogs and I have been dying to get out and walk.I returned several “copy cat” products before stepping up to the yaktrax. even though I may only wear them a couple of days a year, I could tell many would break because of poor construction or inferior materials, others where just too small for work boots. I bought a pair of XXL yaktrax to fit over my size 13, 8” insulated boots and they fit perfectly, moreover, they worked to perfection. they allowed me to go places I would never consider and had zero concern - as sure footed as a yak (I suppose). we live on a bay off a huge lake that had frozen over…even out there my traction was excellent and I had a good walk with the dogs…I also like how easy they are to put on and take off. I used to wear an old pair of metal spiked, golf shoes when it got cold…but those aren’t insulated and it’s real easy to end up with wet feet. Nor do I want to spend several hundred dollars on a special boot. this way I can wear whatever I want to and be assured of traction. I do recommend sizing up one size if you are going over hiking or work boots. the construction of yaktrax is simple but robust. I think the rubber is strong and isn’t going to snap in a year like some I looked at.lastly, yaktrax aren’t going to impair your traction on a clean surface either and that’s what has sold me on them. I highly recommend these for anyone who likes to get out irrespective of what mother nature throws at you.

Having an oversized snow boot (US 14) it was tricky to find cleats that would stretch over my boot, these are great as they offer a XXL for oversized boots.I would definitely go a size up when buying them!
