Nice looking little radio, I definitely appreciate the effort that was put into this unit to make it visually appealing and functional at the same time. The main function of the unit is to be a radio with FM, AM, and Wx bands. It picks up stations pretty well in my testing, and was easy to tune, although if you want a specific station, you have to kind of tune by sound. The flashlight function works quite well, with a few different modes. The first mode is the brightest, it's a cool white temperature with about a 3 foot diameter spill at about 3 feet with a very hot center about 1 foot in diameter. I'd estimate to be 80 - 100 lumens. The second mode is a very very wide flood light, about 8 feet in diameter at 3 feet away, and slightly yellow in color. I'd estimate it to be about 30 lumens, enough to illuminate the space you are in. The third mode is both lights on at the same time. And a fourth mode is the SOS mode with a rather loud siren and both of the lights blinking on and off.The fan is a completely enclosed unit with 3 speeds, and it shoots out of the end of the radio. It works well, and would be adequate for a single user or two people that are quite friendly (although I don't know why you be that close if it's hot enough to need a fan, but you do you).On the back of the unit is the extendable antenna, a rubber cover protecting a USB C In, USB A Output, and 3.5mm headphone jack, and below that is the hand crank. The unit has a red light that illuminates when it is dispensing power from the USB A port. The light also turns from red to green when charging through the USB C port, to indicate the charging is complete. The radio also has a small solar panel on top to aid in charging, and I found the hand crank is easy to use as well. I am not sure how long it would take to charge with the handcrank, but I would imagine it is really only intended to give just enough power to listen to the Wx band on the radio, or power the flashlight for a little while. I wouldn't want to fill up the internal battery with the handcrank alone. The listing states that the internal battery is of the Lithium Ion variety and has a capacity of 4000 mAh. In testing, I found this to likely be true in the amount of energy dispensed and received in my highly scientific (not really) and thorough (sort of) testing. My testing setup consisted of a battery powered fan with the battery removed, connected to my digital USB multimeter to measure the energy expended and came up with a little over 2200 mAh (I suspect it was low due to inefficiencies in my test rig). However, when charging, it indicated a little over 4100 mAh, which is much closer to what was expected. I think this is a more reliable number due to the setup being just a charging cord into the meter, and then directly into the radio. Much less room for inefficiencies. This is a well thought out little emergency radio, with some nice features. At just under $35 at the time of this review, it seems like you really get what you're paying for. It is also interesting to compare it to a unit that was available a decade ago, and you can see how much things have improved. The internal battery and solar charging really puts this in a much more usable category than the older one. In the end, I am pleased with this unit, and though I hope to not need it, I live in Florida and therefore am subject to hurricanes on a yearly basis. The Wx band and the power bank features, as well as the solar charging, are going to be quite a welcome set of features.

I was pretty skeptical when I saw this radio, as I've owned more than a dozen of these little multi-function radios over the past couple years. There are some standout features on this one that drew me in, however, so I pulled the trigger. Below are the things I see as being pros and cons of this radio:Pros:* The interface and controls are very simple and do not require much in the way of instructions to figure out.* The tuning dial is back lit all the time, making it easy to read in low light and lending it an "old time tube radio" sort of look.* There is an SOS alarm function, but it is not at all easy to accidentally activate, which is a problem on some other similar radios.* It can be charged via USB-C port, hand crank, or included solar panel.* Utilizes a 21700 internal rechargeable lithium battery, which is nicer than the typical 18650 battery on similar radios* The antenna is decently long (~15 inches) and fully articulating. It also appears to be user replaceable, should you so desire to put something bigger/better in there.* The LED light has 3 brightness levels* There is a small fan, and it has 3 power levels. Obviously it doesn't move a ton of air, but it's enough at full blast to cool off your face if held close* FM and Weather Band reception are excellent and generally easy to tune* It's got a headphone jack and also USB output jack for charging small devices* When charging the internal battery via USB, it only pulls about 5W* It just looks coolCons:* AM reception, at least for me, isn't that great.* There is no visual indicator of the battery level / capacity. Not a deal breaker, it's just become so common that not having it is noticeable.* There's no user-serviceable way to change out the internal battery.* The radio has a nice heft to it, but the housing itself doesn't feel all that strong. And the manual basically says not to drop it. So you'll want to baby this one.* Definitely isn't any shade of waterproof, so don't go out in the rain with this.* You can't use the radio and fan at the same time, so either it's a radio or its a fan, but ne'er the twain shall meet* This is a nitpick, but...the charge (input) and charge (output) LEDs are super tiny and on the rear of the radio next to the port bank. Took me a while to notice they were there. I find these handy as they can help you dial in the right angle to the sun for best solar charging, and also so you can see if an attached device is charging. I prefer these to be a bit larger and on the front, but at least they are there.Overall: I really dig this little radio, and as I mentioned above, I've owned quite a few. Definitely one of the more fun and cool-looking radios I've had. It doesn't have a dozen features, but it's also very easy to use and it does its functions well.

All the features are needed. Living in FL the weather can go from calm to crazy without much time to prepare. This radio is used as a power bank which is my favorite feature. The flashlight and fan are helpful as well when needed. Being able to keep up with things that are going on around you when there is no power is essential. This emergency radio covers most things. Also, solar charging. You really can't beat that. I would recommend.
